Many electric vehicle manufacturing companies offer the option of battery swapping for two-wheelers, but it is impossible to swap the battery of a car. Scientists from Harvard University have eliminated this tension of electric vehicle buyers. Researchers have created such a solid state battery, which can be fully charged in 10 minutes.

Full charge will be done in 10 minutes

Researchers at Harvard University say that this battery based on solid state technology is made of natural material. It has been developed in such a way that it can be fully charged in 10 minutes. This lithium metal solid state battery was developed by John A. of Harvard University. Developed by Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) researchers.

Associate Professor Xin Li associated with this project says that it provides 6,000 times charging cycle, which is much more than any other pouch battery cell. Researchers say that batteries made of lithium metal anode are used in electric vehicles and appliances because it has higher capacity than graphite anode. This battery also increases the mileage of electric vehicles.

Commercial production will happen soon

Harvard researchers say that soon electric vehicles will also get fast charging batteries. Commercial production of this solid state battery will be done in the coming years. This futuristic battery retains 80 percent capacity even after 6,000 cycles, which is better than any pouch cell battery. After installing this battery in electric vehicles, charging them will become very easy. One can travel again after charging for 10 minutes at the charging point located on the side of the highway.
